5 out of 5 stars These rock HARD!!   May 20, 2009

Just got these installed on my SYM 50cc scooter and I am blown away. This is the best sounding and perfectly suited system for any two wheeled vehicle. If my legs could output 12V I would install one on my bike too!

The system took me a few hours to install but I took extra care to hide and strap down all cables. I haven't tested the waterproof-ness yet but the amp is mounted under the seat so it shouldn't matter--it comes with a sweet remote that you can mount anywhere on the bike that gives you power on/off, volume up/down, mute, and MP3/radio switch. Yes---it comes with it's own radio! Even if your ipod craps out, you will not be left tuneless. Just remember to turn it off or you might be kick starting your ride....

All in all--I am impressed and I hope it lives up to my high expectations so far!

These speakers are great. fast to install and i am amazed good how they sound. i was able to ride 80+ mph wearing a full faced helmet and hood (it was a bit cool) and i could hear the music perfectly (they are mounted behind my windshield which also helped with the sound).

i have an 05 shadow sabre. a friend did the install for me. they look sharp, almost as if they belong on the bike.

so far i have no issues. my ipod hooks right in. good product, with a good price.

5 out of 5 stars Amazing motorcycle stereo system!!!   March 5, 2010

These things freaking rock - literally! They get as loud as you want. My hint: crank the amplifier's volume all the way up and use the mp3 player's volume control to fine-tune it. Works perfectly. Others have said the amp gets hot: I can vouch for that. It does. Just give it room to breath or be ready to keep a light touch on it when turning off. This thing basically never drains your battery. I have left it on for a couple days and had *NO* issues with starting. I mounted these behind my windshield (as others have done) and I only had to use some thread-lock to keep them on.

As far as being waterproof: I can also vouch for that! My neighbor and I rode through a freaking thunderstorm across the entire state of Kentucky and I had these things rocking the whole time! I would have lost my mind if it wasn't for the stereo keeping my mind off the fact that I was soaked...

He was blown away when we'd stop for gas and I still had my speakers blaring.

Buy these bad boys and you will not be disappointed. :)

I just received this stereo last week and installed it. The sound is great!!! Don't be afraid to hook it directly up to your battery - the draw for the clock and memory is very very minimal (according to my electronic geeky brother). The hardest part about installing it is trying to decide where to fit the speakers. I ended up mounting them on my windshield bolts. It goes VERY loud (at 65 mph I could still go louder on the stereo, if I wanted to). For those with a Honda Aero 750 go to www.shadowaero750.com for instruction how to take off your tank for running under the tank - it's easy... I did it myself and I am a blonde female... lol. I mounted the remote by my headlight beam switch with the heavy duty plastic velro.
You can't go wrong buying this!

4 out of 5 stars Heat its all around   February 8, 2010

Radio gets very hot when high volume is used, mount on small metal plate or keep it in a good air flow. Not a Motor cycle problem, I have it on a 450cc 4wd ATV in a spot that will not permit air flow.Under still air simulation, I had outer case of radio up around 125F in a 68F shop, looks like draw can be up to 1.5 AMP.at 13.5 volts. Good stuff, normal, it will be fine mounted on the 8x9 inch aluminum plate I used.Plate gets warm now, just right.
